Twenty-five years to anything deserves a silver badge of merit. Especially when that 25 years is spent traveling and conquering beer

stained clubs, backwoods festivals and burnt rubber rallies. Not to mention the endless days couped in recording studios over the

span of eight highly charged albums.  

For TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION's lead outlaw, the inimitable Big Dad Ritch, it's what he's poured every ounce of being into nearly

every waking moment over that quarter century. Ritch says, “For this band of outlaws, music is everything. Without it, life just isn’t

sustainable.”

With not one but two new albums on the docket, the country tinged ‘Stoned Cowboys’ and the balls to the wall crushing Band of

Outlaws are the ninth and tenth albums respectively for THC and the first two releases on their newly launched Big Dad Records

(BDR for short) after learning the business of music the hard way, THC has decided to play it their way: the outlaw way.   

The title track kicks off the new album with all the subtlety of a shotgun blast, with Ritch bellowing from the depths of his very being,

while first single from Band of Outlaws, “Just Like Johnny Cash” shows that mid-tempo Red Dirt songs can be as rough and tumble

as the heavier tracks. “Lone Star State Line” brings to mind the brilliance of Skynyrd, just a bit more uncompromised and as the

band slams their way through “Ruff Rider,” you can almost feel your ass getting beaten by the sonic explosion. Band of Outlaws

wraps up with “The Winds,” a not-so-distant future Southern Metal anthem worthy of acclaim from the biker community worldwide.

Throughout the album, your master of ceremonies, Big Dad Ritch lets loose with a vocal power performance rarely seen as his voice

visits both the fiery depths of hell and holy heavens high throughout the album. Corban Vincent compels his six string to squeal like

a pig, making you feel sorry for the Buddy Blaze signature guitar he's taking to task every night. Bass player Rado Romo commands

the bass like he’s a lion tamer and drummer Joey Mandigo hits his kit like it’s kicked his cat. Axemaster Nevada Romo has become

Clint Eastwood to Big Dad’s John Wayne making sure both new albums are true to the THC spirit. Reaching new levels in not only

his playing but his writing as well, Romo has become a star in his own right.

With Band of Outlaws, at twenty-five years in, these Texans are still showing they have true horsepower and they are cowboyed up.
